Educational visit of Shivalik Solid Waste Management Ltd.
A visit of solid waste management plant was conducted on 12-04-2024 by the Department of Nursing , Baddi University of Emerging Sciences and Technology , for the students of B.Sc Nursing 5th semester and B.Sc Nursing 3rd year. The students went to Shivalik Solid Waste Management limited,Village Majra, Post office Dabhota ,Tehsil Nalagarh , District Solan (H.P).The total number of students were 43 and they were accompanied by two faculty members Mrs. Jyoti Thakur (Nursing Tutor) and Mrs. Rajni Sharma (Nursing Tutor).
Mr. Gurcharan Singh (Head of emergency assembly point) and Mr. Anand instructed about treatment, storage and disposal facilities for hazardous waste. Shivalik solid waste management limited is operating on TSDF site in Himachal Pradesh since 2007.They gave the information regarding the 5” Zones of Hazardous waste.
This visit was very knowledgeable for the students and they came to know about new techniques of waste management.
