Prelude to the program:

SPES under AICTE PMKVY-TI Scheme has initiated specified skill development program for under privileged youth of INDIA in various categories; Lab. Technician, Maintenance Assistant (Pharmaceutical Industry), Diabetes Educator, Diet Assist, Emergency Med. Technician, Pharmacy Assistant, Dehydration Technician (Hospitals) Fruit Pulp Processing Tech., Jam Jelly Processing, Tech. (Food Processing Industry), etc. skill sector councils certified faculty of SPES will provide training to unemployed youth. The training program will help individuals to attain technical expertise and soft skills.

 

Objectives:

The objectives of Skill Development program is to:

  • Increase productivity of the existing workforce and fill the skill gap in pharmaceutical industry.
  • Standardizing the training and certification to the needs of the industry and initiate a process of creating a registry of skills.
  • Provide Skill Certification to boost employability and productivity of youth.
  • Encourage skill development for youth and making them eligible for Govt. monetary rewards under Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY).

 

Scope:

Industrial linked knowledge of:

Production Processes; good Manufacturing Practices, Good Laboratory Practices; Quality Audit ; ISO & other International Accreditation; SOP/Protocol/Dossier.

Hands on Equipment Training; Onsite Experience of Production /QC/QA; Supervising Skills; Collection and Analysis of Market data; Field Experience of Sale.

    1. Food Processing

    Jam and Jelly Processing Technician

    A Jam, Jelly and Ketchup Processing Technician is responsible for processing fruits and vegetables to make jam, jelly and ketchup.

    Fruit Pulp Processing Technician

    A Fruit Pulp Processing Technician is responsible for pulping/producing fruit pulp.

    Dehydration Technician

    A Fruits and Vegetables Drying/Dehydration Technician is responsible for drying/dehydration of fruits and vegetables.

    2. Health Care

    Diabetes Educator

    Provides education and skills for effective diabetes management in patients with diabetes or at risk of developing diabetes

    Diet Assistant

    Prepare food, ensuring safe food handling, ensuring safety and hygiene of food and regulating diet under the supervision of a registered dietician

    Emergency Medical Technician

    Providing emergency medical support and care to individuals who are critically ill or injured and transporting them to a medical facility within stipulated time limits.

    Pharmacy Assistant

    Perform many pharmacy-related functions and review prescriptions or requests for refills that they receive from patients and nurse.
