Bachelor of Anaesthesia and Operation Theatre Technology (BAOTT) is an undergraduate degree program designed to prepare students for a professional career in surgical and critical care settings. Anaesthesia and Operation Theatre Technologists play a vital role in ensuring safe and efficient surgical procedures by assisting in anaesthesia administration and managing operation theatre functions. The course is designed to be of 4 years duration (including one year compulsory internship). The curriculum is aligned with the guidelines of the National Commission for Allied and Healthcare Professions (NCAHP).

The course equips students with expertise in anaesthesia techniques, operation theatre procedures, surgical instrumentation, patient monitoring, and emergency care. Students also develop skills in pre-operative and post-operative patient management, sterilization techniques, and handling advanced medical equipment used in operation theatres.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates seeking admission must meet the following requirements:

• Candidate must have passed Senior Secondary (10+2) or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry & Biology/Mathematics subjects.
• Admission on the basis of merit of Senior Secondary (10+2).
• For lateral entry: Lateral Entry to the candidates in second year (3rd semester) who have passed Diploma in same AOTT from recognized University.
