National Science Day was celebrated by the School of Sciences
National Science Day was celebrated by the School of Sciences, Baddi University of Emerging Sciences and Technology on 28th February, 2025 with great enthusiasm and scientific spirit. The focal theme of National Science Day was ‘EMPOWERING INDIAN YOUTH FOR GLOBAL LEADERSHIP IN SCIENCE AND INNOVATION FOR VIKSIT BHARAT’. This theme emphasizes the pivotal role of young minds in advancing India’s scientific and technological progress, aligning with the vision of a developed and self-reliant India by 2047. The focus is on inspiring youth to embrace science and innovation, thereby contributing to the nation’s development and global standing.
The event was graced by the Chief Guest, Prof. (Dr.) J.K. Sharma, Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor of Baddi University. Prof. (Dr.) Swaran Lata, former Professor from CSK Himachal Pradesh Agriculture University, Palampur and Prof.(Dr.) Khushmeet Kumar, Registrar were invited as the Guests of Honour. Special invitees for the celebration Prof. (Dr.) T.R Bhardwaj (Advisor to Chancellor) and Emeritus Professor- Dr. Tej Vir Singh along with Deans and HoDs of different schools also graced the occasion with their esteemed presence.
An invited talk based on the theme was delivered by Mr. Ranbir Singh, Head Human Resources and Administration, Acme Formulation, Baddi. He highlighted on Sir CV Raman’s discovery of the Raman Effect and the several steps the Indian government has made to realize the VIKSIT Bharat vision. He also underlined the significance of using science to make India Atmanirbhar. Hon’able Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) J. K. Sharma, the Chief Guest, in his address emphasized the value of indigenous inventions. He stressed on the importance of growth and prosperity of a nation that will come when society adopts a scientific mindset in all facets.
Activities Within the University
A variety of competitions were organized to engage students across disciplines. The key events included IQ Arena, Group Discussion and Science Exhibition (included Working/Non- Working Models, posters and flex presentations) which depicted the scientific temperament of the students focusing on Green House, Solar System, Robotics, Spectroscopy, Bio-diversity, Organic Farming etc. The Vice Chancellor, Prof. (Dr.) J.K. Sharma, Guest of Honor, Prof.(Dr.) Swaran Lata and other dignitaries visited Science Exhibition. Prof. J.K. Sharma devoted his valuable time in the exhibition, acknowledged and appreciated the student’s contributions and commitments.

CASE SOCIETY
The Society named Centre for Advanced Studies in Engineering (CASE) was established on 2nd May, 2000 with a deep commitment to promote and propagate quality technical education. The commitment was translated into reality with the establishment of School of Engineering & Emerging Technologies (SEET) at Baddi in the year 2002.
