About Computer Applications Department

The Department of Computer Applications at SEET was established in 2008 with a vision to educate the youth who have the zeal to explore the aspects of computing. The CA department offers BCA, MCA, MCA(Lateral Entry).

Master of Computer Applications (MCA) is a three-year (six semesters) professional Master’s Degree in computer science. The MCA program is inclined more toward Application Development and thus has more emphasis on the latest programming language and tools to develop better and faster applications. The MCA program focuses on providing a sound theoretical background as well as good practical exposure to students in the relevant areas.

Master of Computer Applications (MCA) Lateral Entry is a two-year (four semesters) professional Master’s Degree in computer science. The students who have completed a Bachelor’s degree of a minimum of 3 Yrs duration in BCA, BSc(IT/Computer Science) with mathematics as a course at 10+2 level or graduate level should be eligible for MCA lateral entry course. The course is cost-effective and at the same time, the students get to have proper training. Apart from this, the educational growth of students is also quite high.

BCA/MCA is hired by private IT companies as well as government organizations. The recruiters are as follows: NTPC, GAIL, BHEL, Infosys, Wipro, TCS, Cognizant, IBM, , HCL, HP, Syntel, Accenture. They get hired in various roles ranging from Software Developers Software Engineer, Software Consultant, Network Engineer, Database Administrator, Test Engineer, System Analyst, Programmer, Quality Assurance Engineer, and Technical Support Engineers.
