School of Pharmacy and Emerging Sciences (SPES)

The School of Pharmacy and Emerging Sciences (SPES) at Baddi University of Emerging Sciences & Technology (BUEST) is a premier institute committed to excellence in Pharmaceutical education, Research, and Innovation. SPES offers Bachelor of Pharmacy (B. Pharm), Master of Pharmacy (M. Pharm) in Pharmaceutics, Pharmacology, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Analysis, and Industrial Pharmacy, as well as doctoral (Ph.D.) programs approved by PCI and AICTE, with a strong focus on advanced pharmaceutical research.

The Central Research & Facilities at SPES comprise a comprehensive network of specialized laboratories, including Pharmaceutics, Sophisticated Instrumentation, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Pharmacognosy, Pharmacology, Medicinal Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Analysis, Human Anatomy and Physiology, Microbiology, and a well-equipped Machine Room. These labs are designed in accordance with regulatory guidelines to support academic instruction, hands-on training, and research at UG, PG, and Ph.D. levels.

Researchers and students have access to advanced instrumentation such as High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC), Fourier-Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR), UV-Visible Spectrophotometers, Tablet Compression Machines, Dissolution and Disintegration Apparatus, Double-Channel Organ Baths, and other essential tools for formulation, evaluation, and analysis. A CPCSEA-approved Animal House Facility further supports ethical in-vivo experimentation for pharmacological and toxicological studies, contributing significantly to preclinical drug evaluation and translational research.
