About SPES
School of Pharmacy & Emerging Sciences (SPES) was established in 2007 to provide quality education, training, and carry out research in Pharmaceutical Sciences. SPES has state of art infrastructure for training students on drug discovery, drug development, production, quality control of drugs and pharmaceuticals.
School of Pharmacy & Emerging Sciences (SPES) has 16 laboratories with modern sophisticated equipment: HPLC, FTIR, UV-VIS Spectrophotometer, Gel Electrophoresis, Karl-Fischer Titrimeter, Tablet Compression Machine, Rota-Evaporator, High-Speed Homogenizer, etc.
SPES has lecture halls with multimedia projectors, advanced computers and language laboratories, animal houses, and herbal gardens. The library of the school is enriched with more than 5500 books, 125 National & International journals, and study material in the form of CDs.
SPES has been adjudged as one of the TOP RANKED Emerging Pharmacy Institutes of India by AICTE-CII Survey of Industry-Linked Technical Institutes (5-6th University-Industry Congress Global Higher Education Summit & Expo, December 2015 and November 2016)
Courses we offers
B. Pharmacy
- The candidate should have passed 10+2 (class XII) examination with minimum 60% or its equivalent from a recognized Board/University with Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects and any one of the optional subjects
Diploma in Pharmacy
- Minimum qualification is a pass in any of the following examinations with Physics, Chemistry and Biology or Mathematics.
Pharm D
- A Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm. D is a professional doctorate in pharmacy. Pharm. D. is a 6- year doctorate level course, including five years of academic study and a year of internship or residency.
M. Pharmacy
- B. Pharm. from a recognized University with a minimum of 50%.
- Admission will be on the basis of merit as determined by the marks scored in BUEST Entrance Examination/GPAT and personal interview.
Ph.D. Pharmaceutical Sciences
- M. Pharm. from a recognized University with minimum 60%.

It is a matter of pride that India has emerged as a Global Pharmaceutical Competitor. Indian drugs and pharmaceuticals companies are manufacturing generic bulk drugs and formulations are being supplied to the rest of the world at affordable prices. One-third of the global drugs are being manufactured in India. Thus, production of drugs at lowest price has resulted into extensive expansion of Indian pharmaceutical industry. Therefore, there is huge demand for the qualified pharmacy graduates by the drugs and pharmaceutical industry.
The responsibility to provide qualified trained pharmacy professionals to the industry lies on the shoulders of the Pharmacy institutions. School of Pharmacy and Emerging Sciences (SPES) at Baddi University has earned name in imparting quality Pharmacy education on account of its highly qualified and experienced faculty, state- of-the- art infrastructure, library with up-to-date books and journals and modern laboratories equipped with sophisticated instruments. SPES has rare Industry – Institute Partnership Programmes. Number of research projects have been initiated in collaboration with the reputed pharmaceutical companies such as: Cipla, Abbott, Mankind, Morepan, Glenmark, Enviro Biotech etc. and more are in the process. It is our responsibility to impart quality education to the budding pharmacy graduates, as per need of the drugs and pharmaceutical industry, and also prepare them for future the challenges.
