The Laboratories and workshops of the department are well equipped with standard equipment as per requirement of the curriculum. Out of a large number of machines available, the names of some are as under: Universal Testing Machine, Brinell & Rockwell hardness Testing Machine, Torsion Testing Machine, sheet Metal Testing Machine, Creep Testing Machine, Test Rigs of Pelton, Francis and Kaplan (5HP) turbines, Centrifugal Pump, Reciprocating Pump, Reynold's Apparatus, Bernoulli's Apparatus, Orifice & Notch Apparatus,Venturimeter Apparatus, Morse Test Apparatus for Multi-cylinder Engine, Test Rig of Two-stage Compressor , Heat Treatment furnace, Metallurgical Microscope, Toolmaker's Microscope, Profile Projector, Motorised Gyroscope, Static & Dynamic Balancing Machines, Test Rig of Water cooler, Window Type Air Conditioner, Refrigerator and CNC Trainer Lathe.

Dr. D. K. Aggarwal has been teaching graduate and post graduate classes in Punjab Engineering College Chandigarh. He has a rich experience of 46 years. He has author two text books which are being widely studied in most of the Institutes in North India. He was awarded "President of India Award for Best Research Paper in Mechanical Engineering".

M.TECH: (Mechanical Engineering)

COURSE OUTLINE
A two –and- half years course of M. Tech in Mechanical Engineering will be on modular basis. The students will be permitted to opt. any of the following specializations.
  • Machine design.
  • Thermal Engineering
  • Manufacturing Engineering

   Course: M.Tech-Mech.
   Duration: 3 years modular
   Eligibility: B.E/B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering/Production Engineering/Industrial Engineering/Mechatronics/Automobile/Metallurgy/Aeronautical or AMIE.
   Selection: Based on the merit/percentile score in GATE. Vacant seats if any will be filled on the basis of merit as determined by marks obtained in the qualifying exam.
   Intake: 30
   Procedure: Registration on prescribed format available from Admission Office. This form can also be downloaded from University website www.baddiuniv.ac.in
