About Department
The Department of Computer Applications at IEET was established in the year 2008 with a vision to educate the youth who have zeal to explore the aspects of Computing, to make them responsible global citizens and future leaders through a challenging learning environment informed by avant-garde scholarship. Being the part of Baddi University we are deeply committed to serve the country and the citizens. We realize our responsibility to bring knowledge and innovation home to elevate the quality of lives of those who have shown faith and priceless understanding through the years. HEAD OF THE DEPARTMENT
Devesh Kumar
MCA, MBE, Ph.D.*
Mr. Devesh Kumar has over 13 years of teaching and industrial experience. He holds Master in Computer Applications (MCA) and Master in Business Economics (MBE). Presently he is also pursuing Ph.D. from Thapar University, Patiala. He is having around 13 years of teaching experience along with some Industrial exposure as well. He has served in East Africa as Assistant Professor in Hawassa University for around four years and has contributed a lot in the areas of Curriculum development, Initiating Graduate level programs in Informatics, research & publication etc. besides teaching. He has also been associated with ICFAI Business School, Chandigarh as Faculty member.

He joined the institute recently to bring home the blend of experience and expertise enabling the faculty and students to learn proficiently. His areas of interest are application of ICT in business like-Information systems, Information Storage & Management, Systems Analysis & Design, Software Engineering, Database Management Systems, E-Business, ERP, Data Warehousing & Data Mining etc. He has attended various workshops in the area of Information Storage & Management, Business Process Integration, SAS and E-learning etc.

BACHELORS OF COMPUTER APPLICATIONS (BCA)

The BCA course is a three year program consisting of six semesters. It provides necessary skill to the students to make successful career as IT professional in competitive situation with satisfying jobs. It also prepares students with the requisite background to proceed with confidence for higher studies in the form of MCA, MIT, MS in computers, MBA, etc., and thus acquire greater competency. The aim and scope of BCA program is very focused in its approach to prepare a student for IT sector and other professions, either directly after graduation or after pursuing a suitable higher degree.

INTEGRATED MCA - M.TECH.

In view of preparing the student and making them more employable technically, we are introducing an integrated dual degree course for the students who aspire to meet the challenges in the IT industry.
