Admissions Rules
- (i) No separate letter for counseling will be issued. Any change made in the schedule will be notified in the Newspapers.
- Merit list of the candidates will be displayed on the university notice boards and website as per the schedule notified.
- Every applicant should remain present during the counseling as per the schedule notified in the handbook of information and should immediately report to the Counseling Committee on calling.
- The applicant must bring along all the original testimonials/certificates at the time of counseling.
- No TA/DA will be paid to the applicant for attending counseling.
- At the time of counseling, the applicant will be given opportunity to select out of the branches available then, according to his/her position in the merit list.
- If the applicant fails to turn up for the counseling as specified in the admission schedule, or does not accept admission offered, he/she shall forfeit his/her claim over the seat as per his/her position in the merit list for that round of counseling, the seat will be offered to the next applicant in the merit list.
In case the applicant reports late for admission during the round of counseling, his/her candidature shall be considered for the then available seats.
The list/selection order of applicants already selected/admitted shall remain unchanged and under no circumstances, the late applicants shall be allowed to replace the applicants already selected/admitted.
- An applicant applying for admission against a seat in a reserved category will be considered for admission against that category only and not for any other reserved category. If no such category is mentioned in the application, the applicant will be considered for the general category.
- Admission shall be offered to the applicants of reserved categories before starting the admission for the general category.
Unclaimed/vacant seats, if any, from the reserved categories shall be transferred to the general category at the end of the admission round of reserved categories. Claim of the applicants of reserved category who remain absent for any round of counseling, shall not be accepted for the seats so transferred.
- An applicant listed in the merit list shall be eligible for all rounds of admissions counseling irrespective of whether he/she attended/availed admission in the earlier round or not.
- The selection/admission letter shall be issued only to those applicants selected for admission to a course of study after verification of original certificates/documents.
- Those issued selection/admission letter will be required to deposit full fees, immediately after the issuance of the selection/admission letter or by the stipulated time specified therein, otherwise they will lose the claim on the allotted seat.
- The Vice-Chancellor reserves the right to modify the schedule of admissions, if required.
- All admissions will be provisional.
- Settlement of all disputes will be limited to the jurisdiction of district court Solan (H.P.)
