B. Tech.
- The candidate should have passed 10+2 (class XII) examination or its equivalent from a recognized board/university with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with any one of the optional subjects: (a) Chemistry (b) Biology (c) Computer Science (d) Bio-technology.
- The candidates should have appeared in AIEEE-2011
M. Tech.
- For CSE - BE/B.Tech in CSE/ECE/IT or AMIE or M.Sc in Electronics/Mathematics/ Computer Science from a recognized University
- For ECE – BE/B.Tech in ECE/EEE/E&IE/Telecom Engg. Or M.Sc in Electronics/Physics from a recognized University or AMIE
- For EE – BE/B.Tech in EE/ECE/E&IE or AMIE or M.Sc in Electronics from a recognized university
- For ME - BE/B.Tech in ME/ IP/PE/ Mechatronics/ Automobile or AMIE
BCA
- Candidate should have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination from a recognized university with Mathematics as a subject.
Integrated M.Tech. – MCA
- Candidate should be BCA/B.Sc.in Sciences/CS/IT/BA in Mathematics or AMIE.
- Candidate should have studies Mathematics as a subject at 10+2 or graduation level.
- Admission shall be based on the basis of BUEST Entrance test.
M.C.A.
- Candidate should be BCA/B.Sc.in Sciences/CS/IT/BA in Mathematics or AMIE.
- Candidate should have studies Mathematics as a subject at 10+2 or graduation level.
- Admission shall be based on the basis of BUEST Entrance test.
Ph.D
- Entrance Test & RDC
B. Pharm.

- Admission will be made strictly on the merit of marks obtained in the entrance test conducted by BUEST for the session 2011-12
M. Pharmacy
- B.Pharm. from a recognized university with minimum 50% marks.
- Admission will be on the basis of merit as determined by the marks scored in BUEST entrance examination/GPAT, B.Pharm. and or personal interview.
B.B.A. (Professional)
The applicant should be 10+2 pass from a recognized board. The admission will be made on the basis of 10+2 merit and personal interview.
B.Com. (Professional)
The applicant should be 10+2 pass from a recognized board. The admission will be made on the basis of 10+2 merit and personal interview.
M.B.A.
- Passed graduate level examination (B.Tech. / B.Pharm. / B.Com. / B.Sc. / BCA / BBA / BA / B.HMCT or equivalent from a recognized university with a minimum of 45% marks in aggregate for GC and 40% RC equivalent CGPA. The applicant must have appeared in the CAT?MAT / GMAT / HPC-MAT / BUMAT (test conducted by BUEST).
- The merit list will be prepared on the basis of weightage assigned for marks obtained in the 10th , 10+2 and graduation, CAT / MAT / NAT / HP-CMAT/BUMAT, performance in group discussion (GD) and personal interview (PI)
M.B.A. Executive (Part-time)
- A Bachelor's degree with an aggregate of 45% marks (40% for SC/ST) or equivalent CGPA. Preference will be given to working executives
B.J.M.C.
- The candidate should have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination (any stream) or its from a recognized board/university.
- Admission shall be base on the entrance test to be conducted by BUEST, GD & PI. Vacant seats, if any, will be filled on the merit in the qualifying examination.
M.J.M.C.
- A Bachelor's Degree in any discipline

P.G.D – P.R.A
- A Bachelor's Degree in any discipline.
List Enclosures with the Application
The application form must be accompanied by self-attested photocopies of the following certificates/ documents:
- (i) Matriculation/Higher Secondary Part-1/Indian School Certificate showing the date of birth. (No other certificate in respect of date of birth will be accepted).
- Marks-sheet issued by the board/university in respect of 10+2 examination.
- Applicable entrance test score card.
- Marks-sheet issued by the concerned university in respect of qualifying graduate level examination in case of admission to post graduate course.
- Certificate of good conduct and character from the Principal/Director of the Institute last studied.
- Certificate of H.P. bonafide/domicile from competent authority (Sub-Divisional Magistrate/ Executive Magistrate) if seeking admission against bonafide Himachalis quota.
- Certificate of belonging to SC, ST, OBC or PH category from competent authority if seeking admission against one of these reserved categories. (The validity of these certificates will be as per H.P. Govt./DTE rules.)
- Proof of residence from competent authority (Sub-Divisional Magistrate/ Executive Magistrate) if seeking admission against J&K/North Eastern states quota.
- Defence personnel desiring to take admission in M.Tech.courses shall render a letter from OC/CO/Station commander about the approval to pursue the course.
- Affidavit in the prescribed format if seeking admission under single girl child /NCC/Sports quota.
- Affidavit in the prescribed format as per the provisions of Prohibition of Ragging Act.
- Affidavit in the prescribed format in case of a gap year in education.
- Wards of defence personnel for B.Tech aspirants and M.Tech aspirants defence personnel desiring to take admission in any of the courses of BUEST shall submit a letter from OC/CO/Station commander.
